We are looking to appoint a Nurse Practitioner to work as a member of the Hospital at Night Team at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust. The team works in the out-of-hours period, covering all wards across the Medical Division alongside the on-call Medical Team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals Cardiology Services for an Acute Cardiac Assessment Specialist Nurse.  This is a full-time role, initially Monday-Friday, 7.5 hour shifts leading to a 7 day working pattern as the service develops.   The role will currently be based at The Princess Royal Hospital (Telford), however you will also be required to work cross-site at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

This exciting and challenging role will be part of the non-medical workforce within Gastroenterology services and be part of the wider medical team. This speciality already has many advanced and non- medical practitioners working within this department; however, this is the first role of its kind and will encompass a depth and breadth of practice within this speciality. The individual will be supported through a 12 month developmental programme within the role and offered opportunities to enhance their experience and exposure to the Deputy role.

The Division is led by the Divisional Medical Director, Divisional Director of Operations and Divisional Director of Nursing using the triumvirate model of leadership. The post holder will also work alongside another Deputy Head of Nursing who will lead on Theatres. The key services delivered by this Division are Emergency and Elective Surgery, Intensive Care, Ophthalmology and Oncology and Haematology.
