An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Dialysis Assistant to join our team. 

The post holder will have previous experience as a Band 3 dialysis assistant and have completed their Chronic renal competencies or an NVQ level 3 in renal care. They are responsible for the provision of  high quality care and support  to our patients attending for dialysis, under the direction of a qualified nurse.  The post holder is expected to work within their own level of competence and assist in the preparation, provision of care and supervision of patients treated by dialysis. 

Senior dialysis assistants undertake higher levels of clinical practice and higher levels of autonomy. They undertake supervision & training of junior dialysis assistants and maintaining stock levels within the department .  The post holder is also expected to take on a link role.

We have a wonderful opportunity to work as a specialist Speech and Language Therapist in beautiful Shropshire.  The post is based at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in Shrewsbury and consists of three days in Shrewsbury and two days in the market town of Oswestry in the North West of the county.

The Shrewsbury  days  will include two days of domiciliary visits in and around the beautiful town of Shrewsbury, and one day of  mixed neurology outpatient sessions.  The remainder of the post is providing a two day domiciliary service to the Oswestry area.  

We have an opportunity to work as part of a community team providing a specialist service to people living with communication and swallowing disorders in the Bridgnorth and Church Stretton area.

Our service aims to provide support and advice to patients and their families on how to deal with a range of communication and swallowing difficulties on both the local community hospital ward and in a range of settings in the surrounding area.

We have an exciting opportunity for a dysphagia trained Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our acute team based at The Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.

We have an exciting opportunity to work as part of a new initiative to improve patient flow in our acute hospitals. 

We provide a specialist service to sub acute, recovery and rehabilitation community beds aligned to our two district hospitals.  

Our service aims to work as part of an MDT to provide support to patients who have been discharged from the acute wards to a community bed for continued rehab or support to enable them to return to the community. 

We have an opportunity to work as part of a small team providing a specialist service to people living with Dementia in a community setting.

Our service aims to provide support and advice to patients and their families on how to deal with communication and swallowing difficulties related to dementia.  In addition, 30% of the role is dedicated to education of patients, families and staff.

There is also the support of an assistant practitioner.  

We are looking for an experienced Therapy Assistant to join our Macmillan Integrated Therapy Service providing advice/ treatment and support to patients and families of those who have been diagnosed with cancer with complex needs. 

The team has representatives of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Dietitians and Speech and Language Therapists and the post holder will join another part time Assistant Practitioner in the same role.

The post holder may be required to work across the two main hospital sites of The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford and visit patients in their own homes to issue or check equipment or to review their status following discharge home from the hospital.

Along with GCSE's in Maths and English at Grades 9 - 4 (or equivalent), the successful post holder must have previous therapy experience to bring to this role.
