We're looking to appoint two Highly Specialist Respiratory Physiologists, on a permanent basis to provide a high quality, patient focused, efficient Respiratory service within the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust. In addition to supporting the acute sites, the Cardiorespiratory Department will be provding some services at the CDC, Hollinswood House, Stafford Park. This post will assist in supporting all three sites and requires working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and independently as a professional.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Stroke, Rehabilitation Team at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. 

We are looking for a physiotherapist to join our team who has Stroke and/or Neurology clinical experience, is flexible, has good time management skills and works well in a team as well as independently. 

To lead the dietitians in the acute dietetic team on both acute hospital sites.  To provide clinical expertise using the latest evidence based practice to a wide variety of patients across all the wards. To work collaboratively with the other clinical band 7 Dietitians to provide a high quality of care across all clinical areas.

We understand not all Occupational Therapists who are ready for specialist positions are looking for static posts, so we are offering yearly rotations between a variety of settings to include the following: 

- Stroke Inpatients
- Surgery, Critical care and Oncology
- Medicine  
- Frailty at the front door

We have an exciting opportunity for a dysphagia trained Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our acute team based at The Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.

We have an exciting opportunity to work as part of a new initiative to improve patient flow in our acute hospitals. 

We provide a specialist service to sub acute, recovery and rehabilitation community beds aligned to our two district hospitals.  

Our service aims to work as part of an MDT to provide support to patients who have been discharged from the acute wards to a community bed for continued rehab or support to enable them to return to the community. 

We have an opportunity to work as part of a small team providing a specialist service to people living with Dementia in a community setting.

Our service aims to provide support and advice to patients and their families on how to deal with communication and swallowing difficulties related to dementia.  In addition, 30% of the role is dedicated to education of patients, families and staff.

There is also the support of an assistant practitioner.  

We have an opportunity to work as part of a small specialist team at the Robert Jones and Agnes hunt  Orthopaedic hospital and the Midland centre for spinal injuries.

This post is brand new and will work alongside our SLT clinical lead for Spinal cord Injuries.  The post holder will provide an SLT service for both communication and dysphagia to the general medical wards, HDU the spinal Injury unit and will run outpatient clinics in voice/general & neuro and will also input into the muscle team.
