A rare an exciting opportunity is available for two forward thinking Dental Nurses : Band Four.  Two Posts available 37.5hrs and 30 hrs per week. The successful post holder will  

  •  Support the Senior Dental Nurse in providing a unified approach to high standards of patient care.
  • To support an environment that promotes excellence in nursing practice and development of high levels of clinical skills.
  • Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.

  • Participate in team building/communication, to develop and consolidate a cohesive and supportive team.
  • To communicate effectively and work in partnership with patients, their relative/carers, nurse colleagues and members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure care is delivered in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Receives sensitive information concerning patient's medical condition. Deal with nervous/ anxious patients.
  • Identify, discuss and report any relevant nursing/patient needs with team/ ward staff, patients.
  • Work in partnership with the patient and family and other health care professionals in care delivery and discharge planning.
  • Provide support and advice to patients and relatives when faced with distressing situations.
  • Accept responsibility; be aware and able to locate all policies relating to good working practice within the clinical area and able to adhere to both by self and colleagues.
  • To have good communication skills both verbally, formal documentation and electronic (I.T.) sources with all members of the multidisciplinary team, patients and families.
  • Maintain accurate and legible records of patient care in line with Trust policies.
  • Adhere to Trust policies pertaining to patient confidentiality/ the Data Protection Act/ Caldicott Recommendations.
