We are currently looking for Healthcare Assistants to join our teams at both The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.  We are recruiting across a variety of wards and specialties. Both full and part time positions are available.

Main duties of the job

  • To work as part of the ward/department team delivering excellent patient care.
  • Monitoring patients and performing basic health check
  • Serving meals and helping to feed patients
  • Provide support to patients to maintain their hygiene needs. This may include actions such as:
  • Bathing/washing
  • Care of mouth, hair, nails and eyes
  • Provide support to maintain their elimination needs. This may include actions such as:
  • Encouraging continence
  • Emptying urinary catheter bags
  • Mobilising to toilet or use of commode or bedpan
  • Maintaining hygiene needs after episodes of incontinence
