We are looking to appoint a Housekeeper, on a part time/full time basis to provide non-clinical support to the theatre team, carrying out tasks assigned to the individual under the supervision of Team Leaders and Theatre Practitioners.

Along with your GCSE's in English and Maths at Grades 9 - 4 (or equivalent), you should have previous experience within a service industry including cleaning duties and use of chemicals and equipment.

The essence of the role is to assist in maintaining a safe and clean working environment for patients and staff and to ensure that stocks and supplies are kept at adequate levels within the department, therefore IT literacy with knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Word, Outlook and Excel is essential.

The post holder will attend necessary meetings, feeding back relevant information, action within own scope and share responsibilities with Senior staff to enable them to delegate to the appropriate person therefore effective communication skills, both face to face and written will be required.

 

  • To assist in the smooth running of the Theatre department by promoting a clean and healthy environment.
  • To share responsibility for ensuring adequate stocks of consumables are maintained to meet service requirements and that all equipment within the department are clean and in good working order.
  • To assist in the transfer of patients and equipment.
