We are seeking to appoint a Divisional Medical Director for Surgery, Anaesthetics and Cancer. The post holder will be operationally accountable to the Chief Operating Officer and professionally accountable to the Medical Director. The post holder will be a member of the Medical Leadership Team. The Surgical, Anaesthetics and Cancer Divisional Medical Director is responsible for the strategic clinical leadership of the Division, for driving continuous service improvement and ensuring the effective delivery and productivity of clinical services. The post holder will be professionally and managerially responsible for all other medical staff within the Division and overall lead for appraisal, job planning and professional development for the Division. The post holder will ensure that clinical regulatory targets and compliance for clinical quality, risk and governance standards are met.

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust is looking for a specialty doctor Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. The successful candidate will be required to be part of the middle grade on call cover for the specialty in a 1:6 capacity. This is a non-resident on call shift and is paid in addition to their standard contractual salary. There is shared responsibility with 2 other Specialty Doctors and 1 Specialist Registrar for daytime cover during normal working hours.

The post would initially attract 12 PAs with review of plan in 3-6 months of appointment. The Department of Gastroenterology provides a service to the county of Shropshire and Mid Wales and currently consists of 8 Consultant Gastroenterologists and 1 Consultant Hepatologists working across both hospital sites.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Consultants in Palliative Medicine to join a friendly and dynamic team based at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust working in collaboration with Severn Hospice.  The Department of Palliative Medicine at SaTH consists of a team of 3 senior specialist palliative care doctors. Together with the team at Severn Hospice, providing palliative care to the population of Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and Mid-Wales.

You will become part of a team and will work in what is one of the largest acute District General Hospital Paediatric departments in the County serving a catchment population of over 0.5 million.
