The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust (SaTH) are looking to appoint one Consultant in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine to develop new and complement existing services presently being delivered to a high standard by a team of full time and part time consultants. The posts are subject to a collective job-planning exercise but attract 10 Programmed Activities per week.  The post is a replacement posts primarily based at the Princess Royal Hospital, although it is a contractual requirement that all consultants newly appointed to the Trust must be prepared to work on either site.

Contribution to an out of hours on call rota is core to this role.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a specialty doctor to join our established medical team within the Women’s and Children centre based at The Princess Royal Hospital. This post will be for a 12 month fixed term position, covering Maternity Leave.

The post would attract 10 PAs with a review of plan taking place 3-6 months after appointment, with the opportunity of working additional PA’s. You will join a team of 27 consultants working across the field of Obstetrics & Gynaecology in a busy District General Hospital. This post is an Obstetrics only role covering Fetal Medicine Scanning, Antenatal clinics, and resident shifts (acute work) with no non-resident on-calls.  All acute services including the labour ward are based at the Princess Royal site with antenatal clinics also provided at both the Princess Royal Hospital and Royal Shrewsbury Hospital sites.

You will join a team of 27 consultants working across the field of Obstetrics & Gynaecology in a busy District General Hospital. This post is an Obstetrics only role covering antenatal clinics, postnatal debrief clinics, elective caesarean section lists and resident on calls with no non-resident shifts.  All acute services including the labour ward are based at the Princess Royal site with antenatal clinics also provided at both the Princess Royal Hospital and Royal Shrewsbury Hospital sites.

The successful candidate will be expected to integrate into the working of the respiratory department but also to develop their own interests. We are looking to attract an enthusiastic candidate with a wide experience of respiratory and general medicine. The job plan is illustrative of current working and the respiratory department would be happy to work with the successful candidate to finalise a job plan that meets the needs of the Trust and satisfies the interests and skillset of the candidate. We are particularly keen to employ a candidate with skills in bronchoscopy/endobronchial ultrasound or pleural procedures to enhance our existing rota. Currently, the post holder will be expected to do most of their clinical work at the Princess Royal Hospital site. Contribution to an out of hours on call rota is core to this role.
