Cancer Services are growing our workforce due to increasing demand within the service.  

The successful applicant will be working closely with other members of the Pathology leadership team, across our three hospital sites, to deliver a quality, patient-focused service. 

We are looking to appoint an Administrative Assistant who will operate, maintain and largely support an efficient and effective clerical service for all centralised appointment booking within the Endoscopy team. 

The post holder would be expected to use the Trust’s Patient Administration System (PAS), within all areas of Health Records, Patient Access and e-referral systems, ensuring all relevant patient information is recorded accurately and updated accordingly.  This will naturally require extensive use of a VDU and keyboard skills daily.  Therefore, experience and knowledge of office processes and software programs is essential.

This Complex Discharge Facilitator role will be based in the Integrated Discharge Hub and you will be required to support the ward based Patient Journey Facilitators to facilitate the SAFER Red2Green approach and also to assist the IDT Hub with the daily discharges.

SAFER Red2Green aims to value patient time and improve flow by reducing delays in a patient’s hospital journey.

This is a really exciting time to join our team and help shape our Bereavement Service as a Bereavement Officer, in our department at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and Princess Royal Hospital.  We have 2 vacancies open, with both post holders being required to work at both hospital sites, on a monthly rotational basis.   The post holder must possess excellent communication skills, be empathetic and caring with the ability to provide a professional and co-ordinated bereavement service to the relatives, carers, friends, and legal representatives of patients who die in the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.

The role involves contact with a wide variety of professions, both internally and externally to the trust. In addition, the successful candidates will work collaboratively with the Medical Examiner Service to ensure paperwork is reviewed and completed in a timely manner. You will be able to use your own initiative and have an eye for detail. Being computer literate and be experienced in your practical understanding of Microsoft Office applications. You will be able to work to tight deadlines, changing and challenging situations, whilst maintaining a professional and calm demeanour and maintaining your attention to detail. Be able to handle a number of tasks simultaneously and complete all of the tasks in an effective manner. 

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Central Stores Team at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital  and the Princess Royal Hospital, as a Materials Technician - we have multiple vacancies at each site.

The post holder will be an integral member of the logistics team, providing materials support to SaTH Wards, Departments, regional GPs and Healthcare Services.  They will be expected to have a good standard of numeracy and literacy skills as they will be required to use warehouse management systems and applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word.

The post is based cross site but this is flexible. The successful applicant will provide support to the MSK Supervisor and the secretarial team.

As a member of the Radiology Systems team this role will support the Radiology and Imaging Departments and wider trust in in the deployment and maintenance of Radiology related IT Hardware and Software. The post is based at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital however the post-holder is required to work at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford on a weekly basis and be willing to travel to other hospital sites within Shropshire as required.

We are seeking to appoint a Booking Team Leader to manage a team within the Booking and Scheduling Department

We are looking to appoint a Support Medical Secretary to cover maternity leave within the Haematology Department.
