An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic experienced and motivated Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to support the Band 7 and team of nursing staff within the Stroke Unit at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. You will be an experienced RGN and be able to lead and assess the work of the nursing team, building upon your own clinical and managerial experience.

You will be able to role model continuous professional behaviour and demonstrate through personal behaviour the core values of the Trust. You will be able to evidence an enthusiastic approachable and friendly manner towards patients, nursing and multidisciplinary team. 

You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will have a proactive management style, anticipating and dealing with issues constructively within the multidisciplinary team setting.  You must be flexible in your approach to the role and respond appropriately to the demands of an ever changing workload. 

You will be instrumental in ensuring  the continuous improvement of the Stroke Unit,  maintaining excellent standards of care and ensuring  that service users are treated with the utmost respect and dignity.

To support the Superintendent sonographer in the provision of a professional ultrasound service within Shropshire.

The role of the midwife sonographer is to perform and report independently on a wide range of ultrasound examinations. This includes 1st trimester screening, anomaly scans, growth, liquor volume and Doppler, placentography, fertility scan, Early Pregnancy including transvaginal scanning as well as obstetric scans that may be necessary during pregnancy.  obstetric scans, as necessary throughout pregnancy.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Clerk within our dynamic team within the Acute Medical Floor.

The successful applicant will need to have experience dealing with the general public; they will have good IT skills and remain calm under pressure in this challenging role. Good telephone skills, confidence and a positive helpful manner is essential. Duties will include answering the telephone, filing, using the Care Flow system and booking appointments.

Nursing and Midwifery - Specialty Doctor in Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust welcomes applications for a Specialty Doctor within our busy Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery team.  The principal role of the post holder will be to contribute to the delivery of a first-class Upper GI service. The post-holder will be based at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital with non-resident middle grade on-call rota responsibilities at the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. Contribution to an out of hours on call rota is core to this role.
