This month, we welcomed 58 new colleagues to Team SaTH! They joined us in a variety of roles across the hospital. We’re so happy to have you all on board and can’t wait to see the great work you’ll do. Welcome to the SaTH family!
We recently advertised and interviewed for qualified nurses to join our Bank team. Following the interview process, we’re thrilled to announce that we have successfully appointed 16 new nurses. Welcome to the team! We’re looking forward to working with you and providing excellent care to our patients.
On June 15th, we celebrated Biomedical Science Day. This day is all about recognizing the amazing work biomedical scientists do in helping to diagnose and treat diseases. Amber Haynes, a Biomedical Scientist in Haematology, shared an insight into a day in the life of a Biomedical Scientist over on our blog.

Continuing the celebrations this month, June 23rd marked International Women in Engineering Day. This day celebrates women in engineering and the contributions they make to supporting people's lives each day. Here at SaTH, our Medical Engineering team check all our medical equipment to ensure it's working properly and is safe to use.
Armed Forces Day also takes place in June and is the nation's chance to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community. This includes currently serving personnel, service families, veterans and cadets. At SaTH we are proud to support our Armed Forces community, and this includes through the Recruitment process with our guaranteed interview scheme. This scheme shows our commitment to offering an interview to candidates from the Armed Forces community who meet the minimum criteria for the position.

Open Morning for Nursing Associates
Our Theatres department is planning an exciting open morning for Nursing Associates on Saturday, July 20th. If you’re a Nursing Associate or currently studying towards your registration, come join us to learn more about working with us. It’s a great opportunity to meet the team and see what it’s like to work in our theatres.
We’ll also be at the Telford Jobs Fair at the Mercure Telford Central Hotel on Friday, July 19th, from 10am to 12pm. If you’re looking for a job in healthcare, come and visit us. We’d love to meet you and talk about the opportunities we have at our hospital.
