Welcome to our brand new monthly newsletter, brought to you by the Recruitment and Medical People Services teams!
Through these newsletters, we'll bring you updates each month as well as upcoming events and news from the world of recruitment, along with some of the latest jobs.
This month we welcomed 107 new colleagues to SaTH, including 24 nurses who joined our OSCE programme, and 9 medical and dental starters, including our new consultant radiologist Dr Singh. A big welcome to all who joined us this month!
We have been out and about during the month at various job fairs, including the Healthcare Job Fair in Birmingham on 4th November, where we met and spoke to over 100 of you about your NHS careers.
On the 14th and 15th, we attended the Acute and General Medicine conference in London. This was a fantastic opportunity to network with clinical staff, whilst promoting SaTH. We were really excited to hear from so many of you about what you look for when seeking a new role and what attracts you to an organisation. We'll be taking this on board as we continue to review our offer!
If you missed us this month, you can find us at one of our upcoming events instead!
Nursing Support Workers' Day and Maternity Support Workers Day took place on 23rd and 24th November. We celebrated the days on our social media channels, showcasing staff stories and progression routes available. To stay up to date with us on social media, you can follow us on Facebook or follow us on Instagram. If you are interested in a career as a Support Worker please view our latest vacancies.
On 6th November, we attended a conference ran by NHS Employers about reward and recognition within the NHS. We heard from both NHS Employers and other Trusts on how they are promoting all the amazing benefits of working for the NHS. Learning from this day, we'll soon be launching a refreshed benefits page on our website - watch this space!
Our brand new teaching facility also opened this month - the SaTH Education, Research and Improvement Institute (SERII). The Trust is committed to providing learning and development opportunities for all staff. The new centre provides links between different aspects of education, research and improvement. It will also support the training and development of medical students from Keele University and doctors in training.
And finally, this month also saw the launch of our brand new recruitment and onboarding feedback survey. If you have recently joined us we would really value your feedback. It will take just a few minutes to complete and will contribute to helping us shape our service moving forwards. Please check your emails for the link to have your say!
