Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Inpatient team. The post forms part of our band 6 inpatient service, which covers Respiratory, Paediatrics, Cardiology, Endocrinology and Care of the Elderly. The post is based at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. 

The post includes involvement in the in service training rota as well as clinical supervision of both therapy staff and students.

Participation in the weekend respiratory, orthopaedic and discharge rotas will be expected and the on call respiratory out of hours service.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will treat a range of inpatients with varying conditions, including rehabilitation and discharge planning which may be complex.

  • To assess, diagnose/interpret and manage own specialist caseload of complex patients as an autonomous practitioner in accordance with Professional Code of Conduct and
  • Health and Care Professions Council Regulations.
  • To have developed, through experience and postgraduate training, the specialist knowledge and clinical skills required for the post.
  • The post holder will work in close co-operation with colleagues within all Care Groups to deliver a cohesive service that is user led ensuring a consistently high standard of patient care, optimal patient flow and safe timely discharge.
