The successful applicant will be accountable for first-line day-to-day management for Electrical engineering services, providing an efficient, effective and patient focused maintenance and repair service. An electrical background is essential.

The successful candidate will have good computer literacy skills to assign and manage Planned Preventive Maintenance via digital management application (Micad).

Previous experience of working in the NHS or in a similar organisation would be beneficial and preferably with experience of management development and formal Health and Safety training.

Maintains, operates and reviews Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programmes through the implementation of suitable operational work plans ensures that, plant and equipment are maintained to the appropriate NHS and statutory standards in order to deliver a high quality care environment for the Trust’s patients.  You will ensure compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act, and associated Statutory Regulations that are applicable to the position.  In addition you will act as an Authorised Person/Responsible Officer in relation to specific maintenance duties e.g. decontamination equipment, medical gases, specialised ventilation, electrical safety and/or water safety, with suitable training and help.
