An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within a busy and varied environment, working alongside our clinical and other non-clinical colleagues to make a positive contribution to our patients and staff experience.

Our cleanliness team take pride in ensuring all areas of the hospital meet high standards of cleanliness.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced, motivated, dynamic  Relief Supervisor to lead our cleanliness team at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH). 

Core hours will be 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday, but will be expected to cover alternate supervisory shifts as and when required, early mornings from 5am – 1pm, late shifts 2pm – 10pm and some weekend cover utilising the hours as described.

Main duties of the job

  • Supervisor experience is essential – please refer to the job description.
  • Cleaning Management experience is an essential element for this role and experience within a healthcare environment would be beneficial. You have a passion for good cleaning standards and hygiene.
  • You have experience or knowledge of infection control and health and safety procedures.
  • You are a team player but can also work independently.
  • To provide support to the cleanliness team
  • To adopt a flexible approach
  • Good level of competency in IT

Working for your organisation

The Cleanliness Team is made up of Trust staff who are responsible for cleaning the whole hospital. Our aim is to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients, staff and visitors. We work closely with IPC and wards and departments to ensure our high standards are maintained. We are a large team covering various shift patterns and our goal is to provide  the best service we can.

We pride ourselves on supporting each other and other teams within the Trust.
