e are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Maxillofacial Prosthetist / Reconstructive Healthcare Scientist to join our team of bank staff.  The successful candidates will provide support and cover for the substantive Maxillofacial Prosthetist in H&N Oncology and Trauma support, Orthognathic surgery planning using the SAM system and 3D virtual planning, and facial prosthetic patients.

Main duties of the job

We are a multi-disciplined team providing cover across 2 sites, supporting 5 Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, 3 Orthodontic Consultants and 1 Restorative Dentistry Consultant and their clinical teams.  The modern fully equipped laboratories offer 3D surgical planning and printing,   comprehensive clinical photography and full technical and clinical service to the trust and external users.

We are a diverse and dynamic team, with a large skill mix.  Compiled of a Consultant Maxillofacial Prosthetist, Lead Restorative Technician / Maxillofacial Prosthetic Assistant, Lead Orthodontic Technician, 2 Dental Technicians, Associate Dental Technician, Laboratory Assistant and administrative support.
