We are looking for highly motivated band 5 Staff Nurses who wish to work on an extremely busy elective surgery ward.

We have 10 inpatient beds and a Day Surgery area, accommodating  in taking all elective surgery patients on the The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital site.

We care for General Surgical , Urology , and Vascular patients so the successful candidates will gain experience in nursing  patients from a variety of specialities.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the job is to care for a group of general Surgical patients assessing, implementing and evaluating care.

We are looking for motivated staff who wish to expand their skills in a variety of surgical conditions.

Staff employed would be encouraged to complete venepuncture and cannulation and male catheterisation.
