We are seeking a highly skilled, knowledgeable and dynamic Registered Nurse who is passionate about delivering high quality care.  We are enhancing our Band 6 Team, to incorporate staff development and training to enhance the Safety and Care of our patients 

As part of the role you will be expected to work clinically on the ward, ensuring quality patient care is delivered. You will also be expected to help the senior management team on the unit. You should be committed to the development and education of nursing staff and participate in the Audits that we currently undertake, You may be be asked to attend table top reviews and Focus Groups present  the Fact Finding Evidence which you will have been involved in. 

 Effective management, communication and leadership skills are essential for this role and the individual must be adaptable to service needs and be able to demonstrate initiative and possess a proactive approach to improving standards of practice, education and skills within the ward.

The successful candidate must have a proven ability in supervising, managing and controlling the activities of the unit in an effective and efficient manner.  

You will be a clinical role model and have a willingness to contribute to the development of the team as well as your own professional growth.

You will require excellent  high clinical standards and have a passion to make a difference for patients and staff alike.

 

Main duties of the job

Coordination of the ward, ensuring a high standard work on the ward is carried out.  Working along side the New and Junior staff to enhance their skills and knowledge

Provide help to staff to ensure high standards of care are given to patients. Organising the students roster and supervisors/Assessors, over seeing the placements.

Assisting the Managerial Team to complete and deliver Audits, Fact Finding Statements and attending relevant focus groups
