Are you looking for a new challenge within Gynaecology Services? 

Do you have an interest in Women's health and do you strive to deliver excellent patient care?

If so then this position is for you, we have a Band 5 permanent position that has come up within our Gynaecology services.

This role is to work on our inpatient gynaecology ward and our gynaecology assessment and treatment unit. You will be part of a wider team to assist the delivery of a high standard of patient care.

On successful appointment to this post, you will be supported in your role with a period of supernumerary practice.

 

Main duties of the job

 

  • To be an accountable and professional registered adult nurse
  • To work within a team and to work on your own initiative when required 
  • To be able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care
  • To administer medication under prescription once completed competencies 
  • To monitor and escalate signs of deterioration 
  • To prepare and manage patients pre and post operatively 
  • To identify areas for quality improvement 
  • To escalate concerns in relation to patient care delivery when they fall below expected standards
